Nepal Immunology, Allergy & Pediatric Infections Disease Society
There is lack of awareness about immunological diseases (like immunodeficiencies, immune-dysregulation, allergy, and pediatric infectious diseases) among laity and medical professionals in resource-limited countries like ours. Under the leadership of first clinical immunologist of Nepal, Dr. Dharmagat Bhattarai and concerned related specialists of asthma, pediatric infectious diseases, inflammatory diseases, a non-profit society was established for promoting science of clinical immunology, and inborn errors of immunity in November 2022 and was named as Nepal Immunology, Allergy & Pediatric Infectious Disease Society (NIAPIDS).
Our mission is to collaborate, update, spread knowledge and advocate for ease of diagnosis and treatment of immunological (immunodeficiency, disorder, imbalance, autoinflammation, autoimmunity or allergy), inborn and acquired issues, and pediatric infectious diseases. It is a scientific clinical society which works and supports for both general public and doctors by taking necessary initiatives to create an environment for diagnosis and treatment. We will also provide scientific cooperation through specialized experts in the field of advanced diagnosis and treatment methods. The spirit of action will also encompass to spread modern science of immunology, to improve education and health sector related to this, to conduct research, conferences, and classrooms related to specialty. Society will perform necessary programmes for dissemination of informations in Nepal and collaboration with foreign centres. Our efforts will be focussed for the clinical care, rights and betterment of the patients related to inborn errors of immunity and researches related to inborn errors of immunity.
Our thought and vision will be of an advanced Nepal where every type of clinical immunological (immunodeficiency, disorder, imbalance, autoinflammation, autoimmunity or allergy), inborn or acquired chronic issues, infectious diseases will be addressed properly. Our dream of this advanced Nepalese clinical immunology facility will develop and propagate in concurrence with updated clinical and scientific knowledge which enables people of Nepal to live healthy, fully productive and disease-free life as everyone in developed world does as guided by updated science.
